ACH Operations Analyst


REPAY-ACH Operations -ACH Analyst - Atlanta, GA

The ACH Analyst will be a member of our Operations team and will responsible for providing operational support of the ACH Department and assisting senior staff as directed. The ACH Analyst provides general and technical support to internal and external customers by assisting with monitoring of ACH processing activities; Processing ACH returns, exceptions, and Proof of Authorization (POA) requests; Completing daily file and bank accounts reconciliation, various research, and merchant maintenance; Assisting on merchant migration activities; Issuing reports; and participating in special departmental projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Verifying daily ACH processing by monitoring ACH batch activity via computer terminal programs and/or various reports. Ensure accurate and timely ACH files transmittal to ODFI. Validate ODFI file confirmations and reconcile daily ACH file processing
  • Reconciling multiple processing bank accounts daily, research discrepancies, and resolve exceptions
  • Processing Proof of Authorization (POA) requests and maintain logs
  • Processing Letter of Indemnity (LOI) requests and maintain logs
  • Providing technical and general support to customers and internal personnel with respect to ACH transactions and services
  • Issuing boarding file and assist on various tasks of ACH merchant onboarding process
  • Assisting on various tasks related to merchant ACH platform migration process
  • Working on a variety of special departmental projects and tasks under the direction of the department’s management and senior staff
  • Providing functional and effective backup for members of ACH department functions as required


  • Two years of progressively responsible ACH payment experience required
  • Experience in bank Deposit Operations preferred
  • Canadian Payments/ Interact experience as a plus
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures and to a continuously changing work environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with excel, Microsoft 365 applications, and relevant computer applications/systems
  • Dependable with strong follow through skills and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing; presents ideas in a clear, concise, understandable and organized manner
  • Ability to identify and solve practical problems with little or no supervision
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Responsible, flexible individual with strong mathematical and analytical skills
